IGNORED BIBLE TRUTHS
IGNORED BIBLE TRUTHS
From my experience over many decades, and especially as I have attempted to correct professing ‘Christians’ who post unbelievable stuff on social media, I have suffered much grief and deep sorrow for so many poor deluded sinners who truly believe they are God’s chosen people, with the guaranteed keys to a ‘mansion over the hilltop’ waiting for them. When one actually studies a bible seriously, one sees that it is like a great big beautiful jigsaw puzzle with all pieces fitting together, precisely.
It has been common practice for too many folks, for far too long, to select a few isolated verses from several books, and knitting them together to form a doctrine that simply does not agree with the bible, as a whole picture of God’s truth. The truths that have been totally ignored, make today’s ‘gospel’ completely unbiblical! Let’s take that pesky word ‘sin’ for starters.
When God created Adam and Eve and gave them an incredibly beautiful garden to live in, as He walked with them in the cool of the day in absolute harmony with them, and all of nature about them, the will of God was being displayed, just as He purposed for it to be, for the creation He had performed. Adam and Eve were in harmony with each other, with God, with nature and within themselves. This was God’s plan for all of creation, clearly: He looked at it and said “This is very good.” Gen. 1:31
We all know the story after that, don’t we? God had told Adam very clearly that he was to eat the fruit of any tree in the garden, except the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. If he ate of that, he would die that same day. Gen. 2:16. Before any of this happened, there was a coup attempt in heaven where God lived with a myriad of angelic beings. The angel, Lucifer, who stood out from the rest because of his beauty and wisdom, conscripted a third of these angels to join him in a coup, to take God from His throne and put Lucifer there to replace Him. Well, they underestimated God’s omnipotence and omniscience, and God deported Lucifer and a third of the angels to a place He called hell, before they could carry out their planned coup. One does not have to have a wild imagination to believe that Lucifer [now called Satan] was full of revenge toward God. So, he disguised himself as a snake, and told Eve that she would most assuredly not die if she ate the fruit of that tree, but she would be given the knowledge of good and evil. So, she took him at his word and took a fruit and bit into it, then offered it to Adam who took a bite himself.
Because Adam and Eve had been created as three-part beings, in God’s image, they were made up of body, soul and spirit. The spirit was that which allowed them to have communion and relationship with God, who is Spirit. God removed their spirits from them, which disallowed them to have that close, meaningful relationship with God. In God’s perspective, that was death to these human beings because true LIFE for them as God had planned it, was for them to be able to enjoy a meaningful relationship with Him. Adam and Eve were not only robbed of their harmony with God, but they lost their harmony with each other, within themselves, and with nature. That is the ‘fallen nature’ of mankind. From that time on, all men and women were born with an inherited sinful nature, from Adam. Rom, 5:12-19
Just a note here: when you read that passage in Romans you will see that just as one man’s sin had infected all of mankind with sin, the death of One Man, [Jesus] brought righteousness to many. God describes ‘righteousness’ in this way: ‘doing what is right.’ That cannot be ‘given’ to anyone. It has to be earned by doing something, in particular. So, righteousness is not simply automatically true of anyone, just because Jesus died and was raised again. Or even if a sinner believes that such is true. There is a definitive action that is required for a sinner to become righteous in God’s eyes. It is the choice to do what’s right instead of what is wrong. Adam and Eve ‘died’ because they did what was wrong, just once.
If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it.” Gen. 4:7
For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God’s sight, but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous. Rom. 2:13
Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey—whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness? Rom. 6:16
Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray. The one who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous. 1 Jn. 3:7
You see that a person is made righteous by what he does and not by faith alone. Js 2:24
We must also remember James taught us that faith is useless and dead in the absence of works/actions/conduct. So, we see that we become righteous by doing something, which is ‘doing God’s will.’ [What is right] Just ‘having faith in Jesus,’ in the absence of doing God’s will, is meaningless.
There are verses throughout the New Testament that have been misinterpreted to teach that the blood of Jesus actually ‘took care of,‘ ‘paid the price for,’ ‘made atonement for,’ or ‘washed away,’ all our sins. That is not literally true, because even after Jesus had shed His blood on the cross, Paul and others taught very clearly that the wage of sin is death.
What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase?
By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?
Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?
We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.
For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his.
For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin—
because anyone who has died has been set free from sin.
Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him.
For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him.
The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God.
In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.
Therefore, do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires.
Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness.
For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.
What then? Shall we sin because we are not under the law but under grace? By no means!
Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey—whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness?
But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you have come to obey from your heart the pattern of teaching that has now claimed your allegiance.
You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness. Rom. 6:1-18
It has been taught from pulpits that Romans six is Paul’s ideal Christian life, but chapter seven is the Christian’s normal life. That is clearly a Satanic message. What you read above cannot be refuted by any other scripture. In fact, it agrees with many other scriptures, both Old and New Testament. Paul’s teaching is absolutely clear and easy to understand. He goes on to make this all even clearer…
I am using an example from everyday life because of your human limitations. Just as you used to offer yourselves as slaves to impurity and to ever-increasing wickedness, so now offer yourselves as slaves to righteousness leading to holiness.
When you were slaves to sin, you were free from the control of righteousness.
What benefit did you reap at that time from the things you are now ashamed of? Those things result in death!
But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life.
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Rom. 6:19-23
I am not even gong to comment on that because if you are truly interested in knowing God’s truth, you will understand fully what Paul teaches here. Just one thing that nobody seems to want to know today, is taught by Paul here, as well as many other places. The gift of God is eternal life IN CHRIST JESUS our Lord. We will examine that later. Today’s ‘Christians’ focus on the ‘GIFT OF GOD,’ as if it has simply been ‘given’ to them. Remember Jesus told us that ‘if we sin, we are slaves to sin?’ Jn. 8:34
Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.
And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. 1 Cor. 6:9-11
Here, Paul once again teaches that sin negates any chance of a person entering heaven. We must remember as well that Paul had been trained by Jesus, over a considerable period of time on how to teach the gospel of Jesus Christ.
I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that the gospel I preached is not of human origin.
I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it; rather, I received it by revelation from Jesus Christ. Gal. 1:11-12
So Paul, trained by Jesus on how to teach His gospel, taught us, well after Jesus had shed His blood on Calvary, that sin sends one to hell. He also taught that God’s ‘gift’ of eternal life was IN CHRIST JESUS. Here is John’s teaching about being ‘in Christ Jesus.’
Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness. But you know that he appeared so that he might take away our sins. And IN HIM IS NO SIN. NO ONE WHO LIVES IN HIM SINS. No one who sins has either seen him or known him. 1 Jn. 3:4-6
There is very clearly no way anyone could declare that sinners can be God’s children after reading those few scriptures. And there are LOTS more I could give you as well. Here is one example from the Old Testament.
The LORD replied to Moses, “Whoever has sinned against me I will blot out of my book. Ex. 32:33
It is obvious that biblical truth regarding prayer is never taught in churches of today, as well. If it is, then the pew-warmers sure don’t listen too well. Here is what God’s word reveals to us about His Holy Being.
For you are not a God who is pleased with wickedness; with you, evil people are not welcome.
The arrogant cannot stand in your presence. You hate all who do wrong;
you destroy those who tell lies. The bloodthirsty and deceitful you, LORD, detest. Ps. 5:4-6
When one searches for God with all their hearts, in His autobiography, one quickly comes to understand that a holy God simply cannot have anything to do with unholiness. It is simply against His very nature to cut some slack for sin/evil/wickedness/iniquity/wrongdoing/disobedience in His kids.
That is NEVER taught in churches today because it goes against everything they teach about how God loves us all with such an incredible love. The simple explanation for this is that they are both correct, but they do not understand what ‘love’ means in the New Testament. It has been translated from a Greek word ‘agape,’ which literally means, choosing for the highest good of the other without regard for personal cost. It is not an emotional love, but an active love, so one can hate someone while they ‘agape’ them. The same is true for God. When one reads that description of God from David, one sees that God would NEVER have any contact with any sinner. So that means He never hears anything a sinner says to Him. We don’t need to assume this either, because God graciously gave us that truth several times though His life instruction manual.
if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and TURN FROM THEIR WICKED WAYS then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chron. 7:14
If I had been aware of sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened; Ps. 66:18 Most versions have the word ‘cherished’ in there, but the Hebrew word they got cherished from can equally mean ‘to be aware of.’
If anyone turns a deaf ear to my instruction, [disobeys me] even their prayers are detestable Prov. 28:9
We know that God does not listen to sinners. He listens to the godly person who does his will. Jn. 9:31
When you spread out your hands in prayer, I will hide my face from you. Even if you offer many prayers, I am not listening. Your hands are full of blood! Wash and make yourselves clean. Take your evil deeds out of my sight; stop doing wrong. Learn to do right; seek justice. Is. 1:15-16
He said to me, “Have you seen this, son of man? Is it a trivial matter for the people of America to do the detestable things they are doing here? Must they also fill the land with violence and continually provoke me to anger? Look at them thumbing their noses at me.
Therefore, I will deal with them in anger; I will not look on them with pity or spare them. Although they shout in my ears, I will not listen to them.” Ezek. 8:17-18
When I teach this truth on X, I get many other X’ers posting verses that exhort us to pray, that God answers payers, that prayer is beneficial etc. But all of those scriptures they post are either from the New Testament letters which were written to godly saints who knew, feared, loved and obeyed God, and had repented, or from Saints in the Old Testament who feared God & lived upright, blameless lives. None of those folks were guilty of sin. It is very clear that God’s refusal to listen to prayers from sinners is logical, reasonable and understandable once one knows God or simply believes what David wrote about Him in Ps. 5:4-6.
I know what you are all thinking now. So how can we confess our sins to God and ask for forgiveness? When one studies God’s word, one finds that the ONLY way to become righteous, blameless, upright, and holy in God’s sight is to learn to fear Him.
Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell. Mat. 10:28
Then Peter began to speak: “I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism but accepts from every nation the one who fears him and does what is right. Acts 10:34-35
Since you call on a Father who judges each person’s work impartially, live out your time as foreigners here in reverent fear. 1 Pet. 1:17
Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, Phil. 2:12
Moses said to the people, do not be afraid: God has come to test you so that the fear of God will be with you to stop you from sinning. Ex. 20:20
Blessed is the man who always fears the Lord. Prov. 28:14
Through the fear of the LORD evil is avoided. Prov. 16:6
The fear of the Lord leads to life: then one rests content, untouched by trouble. Prov. 19:23
Humility and the fear of the LORD; its wages are riches and honor and life. Prov. 22:4
Whoever fears the LORD has a secure fortress, and for their children it will be a refuge. The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, turning a person from sin. Prov. 14:26-27
Do not let your heart envy sinners, but always be zealous for the fear of the LORD. There is surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off. Prov. 23:17-18
Blessed is the one who fears God, but whoever hardens their heart falls into trouble. Prov. 28:14
There are many more verses that declare how essential fear of God is for salvation. But those few ought to convince you that such is true. The ONLY way to learn to fear God is to get to know Him really well. What adult is afraid of anyone they don’t know? God demands that we get to know Him all through the bible.
If you are pleased with me, teach me your ways so I may know you and continue to find favor with you. Remember that this nation is your people.” Ex. 33:13
Even Moses knew the importance of knowing God, after all the experiences he had been forced to endure.
You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
I will be found by you,” declares the LORD, “and will bring you back from captivity. Jer. 29:13-14a
Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. Jn. 17:3
He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might. 2 Thes. 1:8-9
I will give them a heart to know me, that I am the LORD. They will be my people, and I will be their God, for they will return to me with all their heart. Jer. 24:7
“My people are fools; they do not know me. They are senseless children; they have no understanding. They are skilled in doing evil; they know not how to do good.” Jer. 4:22
The priests did not ask, ‘Where is the LORD?’ Those who deal with the law did not know me; the leaders rebelled against me. The prophets prophesied by Baal, following worthless idols. Jer. 2:8
By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence. 2 Peter 1:3
We know that we have come to know him if we keep his commands.
Whoever says, “I know him,” but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in that person.
But if anyone obeys his word, love for God is truly made complete in them. This is how we know we are in him: Whoever claims to live in Him must live as Jesus lived. 1 Jn. 2:3-6
Knowing God is never taught as an essential part of the process of working out of one’s salvation with fear and trembling today. In fact, nobody even mentions that we need to work out our salvation in any way. They all yap about believing in, or trusting, or having faith in, or accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior. It is nothing but semantics for a sinner to say ‘I believe in, trust, have faith in, or accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior. That will OBVIOUSLY never transform anyone’s life from sinner to saint. When one knows God well enough to fear Him, one WILL repent! Guaranteed.
Moses said to the people, do not be afraid: God has come to test you so that the fear of God will be with you to stop you from sinning. Ex. 20:20
Repentance is a very emotional event which brings a sinner to a place where they will never sin again. Can you imagine one of those Israelites who were assured that obedience led to blessing and disobedience resulted in cursing stripping, putting on sackcloth, sitting on a dung heap, throwing dung dust and ashes over their heads for days without eating or drinking, ever repeating that awful event. I can’t. That emotionally painful, humbling, and disgusting experience was indelibly planted on their minds for the rest of their lives. Whenever they were tempted to sin again, they recalled that event, and told Satan where to go. James describes to those of us who live under the New Covenant, a similar event:
Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Come near to God and he will come near to you
.Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
Grieve, mourn and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom.
Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up. Js 4:7-10
I have frequently seen X’ers posting verse seven and the first piece of verse eight on X, without the rest. The rest is the only way one can be ‘submitted to God,’ ‘resist the devil’ or ‘come near God.’ Sin always separates any person from a holy God.
Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior. Col. 1:21.
Today’s ‘Christians’ all love to hang onto truth from the New Testament letters, and yet they all unashamedly confess to being sinners. Many of those letters were actually addressed to ‘the saints,’ or the faithful in Christ, or those sanctified in Christ, called to be holy.
John’s first letter written to the Christians of his day, gives us a very clear understanding of why sin cannot be part of the life of a Christian. The KJV has chapter three as it was in the original Greek text, but the men who compiled the modern versions added words that made it possible for sinners to excuse their sin. One can imagine that these men were sinners like all pew-warmers and pulpit-bashers today, so they thought they were doing themselves and the rest of us a favor. Here is that passage from the NIV minus the added words.
Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness.
But you know that he appeared so that he might take away our sins. And in him is no sin.
No one who lives in him sins. No one who sins has either seen him or known him.
Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray. The one who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous.
The one who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work.
No one who is born of God will sin, because God’s seed remains in them; they cannot sin because they have been born of God.
This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not God’s child, nor is anyone who does not love their brother and sister.1 Jn. 3:4-10
Once a sinner knows God well enough to fear Him, He/she will repent to receive the Holy Spirit for the forgiveness of their sins, and begin to live in Christ where there is no sin.
Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:38
Please don’t get hung up on the need to live IN Christ. The true Church is mad up of individual saints. It is referred to as the ‘Resurrected Body of Christ.’ So, once a sinner knows God well enough to learn to fear Him, & repents to receive the Holy Spirit for the forgiveness of their sins, they become part of that Body of Christ. They are ‘in Christ.’
Say to them, ‘As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign LORD, I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that they turn from their ways and live. Turn! Turn from your evil ways! Why will you die, people of Israel?’
“Therefore, son of man, say to your people, ‘If someone who is righteous disobeys, that person’s former righteousness will count for nothing. And if someone who is wicked repents, that person’s former wickedness will not bring condemnation. The righteous person who sins will not be allowed to live even though they were formerly righteous.’
If I tell a righteous person that they will surely live, but then they trust in their righteousness and do evil, none of the righteous things that person has done will be remembered; they will die for the evil they have done.
And if I say to a wicked person, ‘You will surely die,’ but they then turn away from their sin and do what is just and right—if they give back what they took in pledge for a loan, return what they have stolen, follow the decrees that give life, and do no evil—that person will surely live; they will not die.
None of the sins that person has committed will be remembered against them. They have done what is just and right; they will surely live.
“Yet your people say, ‘The way of the Lord is not just.’ But it is their way that is not just.
If a righteous person turns from their righteousness and does evil, they will die for it.
And if a wicked person turns away from their wickedness and does what is just and right, they will live by doing so.
Yet you Israelites say, ‘The way of the Lord is not just.’ But I will judge each of you according to your own ways.”
God has not changed, folks. His salvation message has been the same since the Garden of Eden. Do what we are told! Do God’s will! Ezek 33:11-20
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Mat. 7:21
The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever. 1 Jn. 2:17
You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. Heb. 10:36
God obviously cannot cohabit with sin, so the Holy Spirit cannot be given to any sinner. Repentance is an event when a sinner stops sinning, for good!
It cannot be repeated, either.
It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age and who have fallen away, to be brought back to repentance. To their loss they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace. Heb. 6:4-6
I have no clue how anybody who enjoys abundant life, as I do, could ever deliberately step outside of Christ, and sin again. But we never lose our free will, so I guess it must be possible, or God would never have inspired the writer to the Hebrews to put that dire warning in there.
After I spent from 1992 to 2011 researching ‘American Christianity’ across the USA. I wrote a book sharing how Satan has been able to take over America and how God can take it back again, making it a shining city on a hill. Apart from the bible, it is the most influential book on the market, because I only teach what is found in any bible, rather than my own opinions. Amazon and B&N have ‘a Nation Broken.’ America is doomed unless there is a massive spiritual awakening. My book declares what is required for such an awakening. Get your copy today and become one of those awakened ones who know the sheer joy of the Lord, peace that passes all understanding, and freedom like you’re soaring on eagle’s wings on air currents far above the earth’s surface.
