DEATH VS LIFE
DEATH VS. LIFE
I listened to Franklin Graham preaching to thousands of poor gullible sinners in London recently. He quoted Romans six, verse twenty three. Then he assured them all that Jesus had paid the price for all their sins on the cross, so all they had to do was believe in, and trust Him, and all their sins would be forgiven for ever. I would love to hear Franklin’s attempt at paraphrasing Romans chapter six. Paul made it ABUNDANTLY clear that God’s children do not sin, all through that passage. He summed up his teaching with verse twenty three.
Preachers of today love to assure all their sinning congregants that salvation is a free gift, mostly based on that verse. Every employee receive wages that are given to them by their employer, once they have done their jobs responsibly, and competently. That is exactly what Paul is teaching these Romans here, as well as in chapter eight. There is NO WAY ANY SANE PERSON can read this chapter without knowing that Paul is teaching us all that sin is NEVER allowed in God’s chosen people. We are either obedient to God or to Satan. Slaves to one or the other. Jesus assured us of that as well.
His gospel is the same as God had taught throughout the whole of the Old Testament: “Obey Me and live, or don’t and don’t.” Jesus confirmed that truth, as well as Paul and John.
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Matt. 7:21
Paul declares the truth, twice, that regardless of the fact that we have been set free from the Mosaic Law, and live in the day of grace, we MUST NOT sin.
John did the same as Paul, in his first letter, chapter three, verses four through ten. Read that in the KJV, which is the correct translation from the original Greek. Men added words when they compiled the modern versions, because they sinned. Both Paul and John wrote their letters WELL AFTER Jesus had died, and rose again. So neither of them were aware that sins were ALL forgiven by Jesus, on the cross. Jesus simply did what was necessary for repentant sinners to be born again. NOT for ALL sinners!! Repentance is a VERY emotional, once-in-a-life-time event that can never be repeated. Heb. 6:4-6 It is NOT asking God or Jesus to forgive you for your sins. It is stopping all sinning, permanently. See Ezek. 33:11-16.
Paul taught us in Romans eight that we either walk in the flesh, which is according to the ‘old nature,’ the ‘sinful nature,’ the ‘old self,’ or the ‘old man, or in the Spirit. As Christians, we WILL live/walk in the Spirit, which is according to what the Holy Spirit moves us to do.
I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.
And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. Ezek. 36:26-27
Without fearing God, NO-ONE goes to heaven!!
Then Peter began to speak: I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism, but accepts men from every nation who fear Him & do what’s right. Acts 10:34-35 Is sinning doing what is right??
Whoever fears the LORD has a secure fortress, and for their children it will be a refuge. The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, turning a person from sin. Prov. 14:26-27
‘All sinners live in darkness,’ is a common truth taught all through God’s word. Jesus assured u that if we follow Him, we will NEVER walk in darkness again. That literally means we will not sin again. To live IN Christ, is to live without sin, because IN Him there is NO SIN!! 1 Jn. 3:5 All the first believers were referred to as ‘those who lived in Christ,’ before the word ‘Christian ‘ ever was used. It’s not rocket science, folks!!
PLEASE read my book, ‘A Nation Broken’ where I declare God’s truth clearly from scripture, and His plan to heal America. Amazon has it, and it comes VERY highly recommended.
